I know there have been plenty of articles and blogs about free resources for small businesses and entrepreneurs, but I think it bears repeating. One of the hardest things to deal with when you’re starting your own business is the capital needed to get the business going. This is especially true if you are starting up on a shoe-string budget out of your garage or your spare bedroom.

Luckily for us, there are tons of free resources we can take advantage of. I’m not saying all of them are relevant to your needs, but if you do your research, I’m sure you’ll find many gems in this list.

Time Tracking

  • Toggl – I use this now. Really easy and very user friendly.
  • Paymo

Electronic Signatures

  • EchoSign – Five free signature requests a month.

Project Management

Online Meetings

File Sharing and Transfer

Voice & Fax

  • eFax – Although I still use a fax machine, I have used this before and like it’s features.
  • Google Voice – I use this quite a bit.

Remote Access

This is obviously just a very short list of the free software available for you to use with your small business. There are thousands of options out there. I’m always looking for new “free” productivity tools, so feel free to comment on your favorites!
